Release Day is Fast Approaching!
Well, October 26th 2012 is the day my latest book comes out. TWRP is the publisher and I'm grateful to be with them! Here's the blurb:Ethereal beauty Shea, a Lieutenant in a Universal military, has spent the last four years protecting Colony supply freighters on a small space station. If not for her partner and the hopes of a better assignment, the loss of her husband and a devastating illness would leave her little desire to live.
That is until she meets Tempest, an alien whose species is rumored to be the origin of the vampires. A man who makes her feel alive in ways she's never felt before.
Tempest has prayed to the Divine One for countless years for his bondmate. Shea is his long-awaited answer and so much more. One night will not be enough for a man who has waited a lifetime, but he is determined to make Shea his forever.
With a madman out to destroy them and certain death nipping at their heels, will Tempest and Shea outwit Remi and survive to share a future together, or die protecting all they hold dear?
Sometimes it gets difficult to sit down and type out so many thousand words per day. Concentration tends to wander, plants have to be watered, pets demand attention, not to mention you have to eat sometime. Summer is the worst. Everyone has their kids or grandkids visiting and usually playing in the pool or some other exciting venture. Cooking is hazardous due to the heat already being produced by the sun. However, the harvest is pretty good because of that bright pain in my butt. I just have no energy. Winter, or whenever the weather grows cold, is my best time. My brain begins to function properly again and my energy levels are up. I suddenly have a little more time for the things I like to do. I can even crawl out of bed at a decent hour.
Health issues are another matter. Mine tend to be dental related and should finally be at an end in another year. At least that seems to be the projected time for it to be over. With the holidays around the corner, I'm wanting to go home and visit with family. I live on the West coast, they live on the East coast. That makes things difficult. Plane fare is expensive and since I'm relatively an unknown to many readers, I don't make the kind of money I'd like to. My kids are a scattered group. Two in the Army and one in college. They consider their home base to be New York, where their dad and stepmom live. I'd like to fly out there and visit them, too. One day, perhaps this will all be possible.
For now, I have the release date to look forward to, self-promotion to take care of, blogs to write and who knows what else to do in order make this go. As a freelance writer, I also have a screenplay to finish; a collaboration, and have just received interest from my son to collaborate on a story he dreamed, but needs help writing. That is good news. Well, enough to keep me busy. Ah, a Writer's Life.
Writing is my dream. From romance to dragons; fairies to fantasy worlds, this is where I live and play. Thanks be to God! - Lisa Hannah Wells
